Stork in Nest

The trees of the Lord are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted. There the birds make their nests; the stork has its home in the junipers.

Psalm 104:16-17

The image presents a serene and peaceful scene of a stork standing on a tree branch in front of its large nest. The stork is positioned on the left side of the tree, with the nest situated on the right and a short branch extending into the bottom-right of the image.

The nest is constructed from sticks and twigs overflowing with animal fur. Raindrops gently fall and the tree’s bark is adorned with green leaves. Rays of light shine through the leaves and branches, evoking a sense of a rainy or foggy morning. The natural gray, white, and black tones create a soft, yet vibrant presence in the dynamic forest atmosphere.

The stork appears relaxed, with its wings slightly tilted down, while its legs are shrouded in shadows. The injection of natural lighting through the trees continues a symbolic bond between the patient tree and the stork.

Overall, the image evokes a feeling of peace, welcoming, and happiness, showcasing the natural coalition of tree and stork inhabiting the same spot overlooking the dense forest.
