Altogether Corrupt

God looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. Everyone has turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no-one who does good, not even one.

Psalm 53:2-3

A large-scale sculpture, likely a piece of public art, depicts numerous figures, seemingly people of various ages and genders, in a posture of profound sorrow or contemplation. The figures are sculpted in a style that evokes weathered stone, with visible cracks and moss-like textures.

They are positioned in a dense grouping, sitting or kneeling on different levels of a stepped structure, which resembles a ruined or decaying architectural complex. The figures’ faces are downcast, their hands clasped in prayerful or thoughtful gestures.

The lighting suggests a misty or damp environment, possibly indicating a location near a waterfall or body of water, as subtle water spray is visible around the sculptures. The figures are dark gray and brown tones with variations in texture and color to create a sense of age and weathering.

The overall impression is one of collective mourning, suffering, or deep reflection.
