Candle Falls

The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord that sheds light on one’s inmost being.

Proverbs 20:27

A detailed miniature landscape, meticulously crafted, is formed from the melted wax of a burning candle.

The wax, in various shades of light and dark orange and beige, takes the shape of craggy mountains, lush forests, and a cascading waterfall.

A small, idyllic lake with a wooden dock is nestled among the sculpted wax.

A magnificent, detailed castle, also sculpted from the melted wax, crowns the wax “mountains.”

A lit candle is prominently placed at the apex of the scene, casting light on the fantastical wax-formed world. The candle’s flame is visible, and the smoke from the burning candle is subtly rendered in the image.

The base of the scene sits on a dark wooden table, with traces of the melted wax flowing down its surface. A sense of detail and depth is created by the light effects and the diverse wax textures.
